About NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies
NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies is a free psychological treatment service for people aged 16 and over who are registered with a GP in Northumberland. The service treats depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, OCD, PTSD and other common mental health problems. You do not need a GP referral -- you can self-refer by phone on 0300 303 0700 (Monday to Thursday 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-5pm) or by completing an online referral form. Once referred, you will be offered a telephone assessment appointment. Treatment options include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling and guided self-help. The service is delivered by Mental Health Matters (MHM) on behalf of the NHS.
