Free NHS musculoskeletal and pain service for Northumberland residents. Self-referral available online or by phone -- no GP appointment needed.
About JMAPS (Northumberland MSK & Pain Service)
The Northumberland Joint Musculoskeletal and Pain Service (JMAPS) is a partnership between Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Cora Health. It supports patients across Northumberland -- including Blyth -- who have musculoskeletal conditions or persistent pain. The service is staffed by specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, specialist nurses and rehabilitation therapists who can assess, advise and support you to manage your condition. Crucially, you can self-refer into the service online or by calling 03301 244 652 -- there is no need to see your GP first. This makes JMAPS one of the most accessible physiotherapy pathways available to Blyth residents.
