About Art of Stone (NE)

Art of Stone (NE) Limited is a family-run firm of traditional monumental masons based at Crawford Court on Cowpen Road in Blyth. Established in 2014 and drawing on more than 20 years' experience of designing, supplying and fitting memorial stones across the North of England, the workshop combines traditional hand-cutting skills with modern technology. It serves Blyth and the wider Northumberland, Tyneside, Durham and beyond, and there is no need to rush a memorial — many families wait several months for the ground to settle before commissioning one.

The firm creates bespoke headstones and memorials in granite and stone, along with plaques, additional inscriptions for family graves, and the cleaning, repair and refurbishment of existing memorials. It also makes war memorials, ashes-into-glass keepsakes and house signs. The masons work in line with individual cemetery regulations, guiding families on styles, materials and lettering, and can renovate a weathered older memorial as readily as they can craft a new one.
