About Signature Farm Meats

Signature Farm Meats is an independent, family-run butcher at 549 Cowpen Road in Blyth, run by two brothers who set out to combine traditional butchery with modern techniques and equipment. The business is completely independent and places its emphasis on provenance, sourcing smallholding-reared cattle locally and carrying out all the butchery in-house. It also operates a mobile store that visits market locations across the North East, extending its reach beyond the Cowpen Road shop and building a following at events and markets in the wider region.

A distinctive feature of the shop is its own Himalayan salt ageing room, where meats are dry-aged on the premises to develop flavour. The brothers make their own sausages and burgers in-house using curated blends of natural herbs and spices, prepared without preservatives. This focus on locally reared stock, in-house dry ageing and additive-free preparation positions Signature Farm Meats as a specialist butcher aimed at customers looking for traceable, small-batch produce rather than mass-market meat.
