About Blyth Spartans AFC

Blyth Spartans AFC is the town's senior football club and one of the best-known non-league names in England, still remembered nationally for its run to the FA Cup fifth round in 1978. The club plays at Croft Park on Plessey Road, a compact and characterful ground whose main stand carries the name of the Port of Blyth, and it remains a fixture of the town's sporting and social life through the winter. Junior football, soccer schools and outreach work are run through the club's community arm, which operates from the same Croft Park base.

For businesses and groups, the club sells matchday hospitality rather than plain room hire. Packages start with individual hospitality at fifty pounds a head for parties of two or more, with match ball sponsorship for two, man of the match for two and full match sponsorship for four, and they include access to the directors' lounge from ninety minutes before kick-off, seats in the directors' box in the Port of Blyth stand, hot food before the game and up to five drinks per person. The hospitality suite at the ground is also used for meetings and private functions outside matchdays, so it is worth asking about current rates and buffet options if a daytime booking suits better.
