About Empire School of Boxing

Empire School of Boxing is Blyth's established amateur boxing club, based on Cowpen Road and formed in 1992. It is registered with England Boxing, the sport's national governing body, and its coaching team is qualified to England Boxing standard, so members train in a properly accredited and safeguarding-minded environment. The club runs as a community-led project focused on creating a safe, inclusive space where anyone can access boxing and gym facilities.

The club caters for all ages and abilities. Saturday sessions welcome 'mini boxers' from around six, with dozens of boys and girls aged roughly eight to sixteen developing their skills, while beginner classes run midweek and keep-fit sessions cater for adults who have no intention of sparring. Whether the goal is competition, fitness or simply confidence, Empire offers a well-run route into the sport in the heart of Blyth.
