The biggest weekend of the summer in Blyth. The town's own music festival takes over the beach on Saturday, the Phoenix has live music and cinema all weekend, and it is Father's Day on Sunday. Here is what is happening from Friday to Sunday.

Blyth Live 2026 -- Blyth Beach

Saturday 20 June at Blyth Beach. The headline event of the weekend and arguably the highlight of Blyth's summer. Blyth Live brings live music, food stalls, and a festival atmosphere to the beach. This is the town's biggest outdoor event of the year and always draws a huge crowd. Get down early to grab a good spot.

Queen Rhapsody -- Phoenix Theatre

Friday 20 June at the Phoenix Theatre, Blyth. A high-energy tribute to Queen featuring all the classics -- Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Don't Stop Me Now, and more. A great way to kick off the weekend.

Riverdance 25th Anniversary (Cinema Screening) -- Phoenix Theatre

Friday 19 June at the Phoenix Theatre, Blyth. The 25th anniversary cinema screening of Riverdance on the big screen at the Phoenix. A chance to see the iconic Irish dance show without travelling to the arena.

Wallen & Combs (Cinema Screening) -- Phoenix Theatre

Friday 19 June at the Phoenix Theatre, Blyth. Another cinema screening at the Phoenix this Friday evening. Check with the venue for showtime details.

The Hoppings 2026 -- Town Moor, Newcastle

All weekend at Town Moor, Newcastle. Europe's largest travelling funfair is back on the Town Moor for its annual run. Rides, sideshows, food stalls, and all the noise and neon you could want. About 30 minutes from Blyth by car.

The 4 Decades Show -- Seaton Delaval

Friday 20 June at Seaton Delaval. A live music show covering four decades of hits, just a few minutes from Blyth in Seaton Delaval. A solid Friday night out without the drive into Newcastle.

Yesterbus Classic Rally -- Locomotion, Shildon

Sunday 21 June at Locomotion, Shildon. A classic and vintage bus rally at the National Railway Museum's Locomotion site. A treat for transport enthusiasts and a good Father's Day outing if Dad is into buses, trains, or both.

Tynemouth Station Market

Saturday and Sunday at Tynemouth Station. FREE entry. The ever-popular weekend market beneath the Victorian canopy, with handmade crafts, vintage fashion, street food, and live music. About 30 minutes from Blyth.

Father's Day -- Sunday 21 June

Sunday is Father's Day. If you are still looking for ideas, Blyth has plenty of options -- a pint at the Commissioners Quay Inn with harbour views, a Sunday roast at The Seahorse, or a walk along South Beach followed by ice cream from Ciccarelli's.
