The Pitmen Poets Ride Again
Jez Lowe, Bob Fox, and Billy Mitchell reunite for a night of songs and stories celebrating the North East's mining heritage.
About This Event
Three giants of the contemporary folk world — Jez Lowe, Bob Fox, and Billy Mitchell — reunite as The Pitmen Poets for a night of powerful songs, rich storytelling, and good humour rooted in the coalfield communities of the North East. After their hugely successful 2024 tour, public demand has persuaded the trio to ride again. Blending traditional and original material, The Pitmen Poets celebrate the spirit, history, and voice of the region's industrial heritage. Their shows are warm, funny, and deeply moving — a genuine celebration of North East culture at The Glasshouse on Gateshead Quays.
